Welcome to the new Iconic Group

April 11, 2017 by Darcy Darbyson

Welcome to the new Iconic Group

The past year has been transformative for Iconic Group. As a company that’s been in business for over a decade, it’s interesting (and thrilling) that we’ve gone through such a metamorphosis in the past six months. From our humble beginnings working out of a small office in Toronto to the days in our new location in Pickering, we’ve expanded as a team and brought with us our massive portfolio of work. We built a solid reputation creating websites for wealth advisors, and thanks to a steady stream of referrals, we diversified and starting doing business for small business owners, lawyers, realtors, and even a large family farm. But it wasn’t only our clientele that grew - it was our service offering.

What if All the Maps Are Wrong?

March 6, 2017 by Erin Pepler

What if All the Maps Are Wrong?

Most of us probably own a map of the world in one form or another - a print, a globe, or even a mobile app that details travel plans or the weather. There’s something really fascinating about seeing where you are in relation to the rest of the world, and taking in the size and location of different countries. Ohhhh, yes, Valentine’s Day is all over the map - but love is in the air here at Iconic Group. In honour of Valentine’s Day, I’ve gathered some of my favourite song picks and grilled my colleagues in order to curate a very romantic, sort of weird Valentine’s Day mix-tape. Enjoy!

Building a Career - and a Life

Building a Career - and a Life

As of this summer, I'll have worked for Iconic Group for nine years. That's a long time! A lot has happened in my life since 2008, and I've recently been reflecting on that fact. My career has grown along with the success of our company, and on the personal side, my life has changed in many ways. Looking back at the evolution of my role at work, I can’t help but think of the personal milestones that happened in tandem.

The most recent – and arguably the largest and most exciting event for me – was marrying my wife, Laura. We met in 2011 and after five years together, decided it was finally time to "make it official", so to speak. I wrote about our wedding here, in another blog post.
